The butterflies have arrived! The species on display this week are Monarchs, Common Buckeyes, Julias, White Peacocks, Great Southern Whites, and Painted Ladies. New butterflies arrive weekly which makes the butterfly house a different experience at every visit. Enjoy the beautiful gardens and butterflies and learn about their amazing life cycle and their importance in the ecosystem.

Visitors are welcome Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Labor Day. Group tours can be arranged by contacting grouptours@panhandlebutterflyhouse.org.

Volunteers run all aspects of the operation of the butterfly house and are needed in all areas including gardening, maintenance and repair, docents and tour guides, and technology. For more information, contact Mary Derrick at 850-623-3868 during business hours or via email at maryd@santarosa.fl.gov.
